The remastered version (v2.0) represents a significant improvement in picture quality over the earlier 1.0 version due to the use of better encoding and higher quality sources and replacing many of the despecialized shots with I certainly wouldn’t put off watching Despecialized until 3.0 comes out. I would maybe consider holding off on burning Empire until 2.5 comes out, but if you just want to watch the films right now, there’s no reason to wait.
